Road closures in conjunction with 46th ASEAN Summit, 23 May to 28 May

In conjunction with the upcoming 46th ASEAN Summit, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSTP) Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri has announced that six highways and 25 main roads will be closed in the Klang Valley.

“JSPT personnel will handle various duties, including VVIP motorcade escorts and traffic control. Our assets are already on standby, including 36 cars, 313 high-powered motorcycles, 190 normal motorcycles, and tow-trucks,” he told TheStar.

Comm Mohd Yusri also advised public to avoid the closed roads and take public transport instead.

“We also advise using public transport. Commercial vehicles are prohibited from entering the city centre during peak hours, from 6.30am-7.30am and 4.30pm-7.30pm

“We hope for public cooperation to avoid blocking traffic with their parking. Otherwise, we will have to tow the vehicles,” he added.

To note, the Proton eMas 7 is one of the official vehicles for ferrying guests and delegates throughout the event.

Below is the road closure and diversion schedule:

23 May to 26 May (From KLIA / Subang Air Force Base)

26 May:

From hotels to KLCC (8:00am until arrives are complete)

From KLCC to hotels (5:30pm until departure to hotels are complete)

27 May:

From hotels to KLCC (8:00am to 10:30am)

From KLCC to Istana Negara (11:45am to 1:00pm)

From Istana Negara to KLCC (1:45pm to 3:00pm)

28 May:

From hotels to KLIA / Subang Air Force Base (From 8:00am onwards)
