2025 GAC Emkoo now opened for bookings; GAC Malaysia signs Datuk Remy Ishak as new brand ambassador

Following its public preview at PACE 2025, WTC Automotif (WCTA) has opened bookings for the soon-to-be launched 2025 GAC Emkoo.

GAC Malaysia’s new C-segment SUV will go head-to-head against rivals such as the Proton X70, Jaecoo J7, Jetour Dashing, and Haval H6 HEV.

Two variants of the 2025 GAC Emkoo will be offered, namely the Premium and Premium Pro. Estimated prices of the model:

Power for both variants of the 2025 GAC Emkoo come from a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder direct-injection petrol engine that does 177 PS at 5,500 rpm and 270 Nm of torque from 1,400 rpm to 4,500 rpm. Said engine is paired to a 7-speed, wet-type, dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending drive to the front wheels. Said powertrain is also shared with the smaller GAC Emzoom.

According to GAC, the Emkoo consumes 6.6 L/100km under the NEDC test cycle.

The 2025 GAC Emkoo measures 4,680 mm long, 1,901 mm wide, and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,750 mm long wheelbase.

A total of five body colours are on offer, including Asphalt Black, Frost White, Graphite Grey, Star Lake Green, and Super Star Silver.

In terms of aftersales support, the 2025 GAC Emkoo is backed by a 5-year/150,00-km vehicle warranty, as well as a 7-year/180,000-km engine and powertrain warranty, whichever comes first.

On top of the 2025 GAC Emkoo, GAC Malaysia has also opened bookings for the 2025 GAC M8 PHEV MPV – the company’s flagship MPV that features a best-in-class driving range of 1,038 km. Prices are estimated to be between RM 333,000 for the Premium variant and RM 380,000 for the Luxury variant.

Both soon-to-be launched models are available for viewing until this Sunday (10 August 2025) at 1 Utama.
