GWM Malaysia has just introduced the new 2026 GWM Tank 500 HEV Black Edition. Priced from RM 336,800, the Black Edition marks a modest increase of RM 8,000 compared to the regular Tank 500 HEV. As before, the Tank 500 HEV Black Edition is imported (CBU) from Thailand.
Changes to the Black Edition include:
- Darkened headlights
- Black front grille
- Black front bumper garnish
- Black fog light garnish
- Black tail light garnish
- Black back door garnish
- Black rear bumper lower guard plate
- Black rear bumper protector
- Black door handles
- Black 20-inch alloy wheels
- Black electric side steps
- Black window trim
- Black roof rails
- Black emblems
The 2026 GWM Tank 500 HEV Black Edition continues to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain that delivers a combined system output of 346 PS and 648 Nm.

Also unchanged is the warranty and aftersales, as the Black Edition also offers the same warranty coverage, including:
- Lifetime warranty for engine, transmission, and HEV system (Exclusive to first-hand private owners)

- 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty
- 5-year free maintenance package
