2026 Suzuki Fronx launched in Malaysia: Single MHEV variant, from RM 147,888

Naza Eastern Motors, the official distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the new 2026 Suzuki Fronx in Malaysia.

Overview

Malaysia is the second market after Thailand to introduce the Fronx, with the model imported (CBU) from Suzuki’s plant in Indonesia. 

Unlike Thailand’s three-variant line-up, Malaysia gets a sold hybrid variant, priced from RM 147,888 (on-the-road, without insurance). 

As part of Suzuki’s Early Bird Promotion, customers can enjoy an exclusive RM 4,000 rebate or free Suzuki Genuine Accessories Package that include multi-roof rack, roof basket, and door visor, valid till 31-December 2025.

Exterior

The 2026 Suzuki Fronx is an A-segment SUV, aimed at similarly-sized rivals like the Perodua Ativa and Honda WR-V. It measures 3,995 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall. Its wheelbase is 2,520 mm long – more than the Honda WR-V.

In-line with other modern-day vehicle, the Suzuki Fronx gets a split-design headlight and daytime running light (DRL) design, flanking a prominent front grille with the Suzuki emblem. 

The Fronx also gets all-round body cladding, including the front, side, and rear, as well as fender flares for that rugged look. 

A set of 16-inch alloy wheels finished in black completes the exterior of the Fronx.

Interior

Suzuki has given the Fronx a tri-tone interior colour scheme, comprising of black, silver, and red trim. 

There’s a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a Qi wireless charging pad and heads-up display (HUD).

Powertrain

At the heart of the 2026 Suzuki Fronx is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine hooked up to a DC electric motor (mild hybrid, MHEV) that does 103 PS and 137 Nm. The electric motor is powered by a 6-Ah lithium-ion battery pack, and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.

Under the WLTP test cycle, the Suzuki Fronx is able to return up to 700 km from its 37-litre fuel tank.
