Proton has just opened bookings for the upcoming 2026 Proton S70, with the new C-segment sedan now gradually arriving at authorised Proton 3S and 4S centres across Malaysia.
Customers can place a RM 500 booking fee to secure their unit, with the launch scheduled on 11-February 2026.

The biggest change is the adoption of the same turbocharged 1.5-litre i-GT four-cylinder petrol engine from the 2025 Proton X50, outputting 181 PS and 290 Nm. The same 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) is retained, but receives new and improved calibration.

The increase in power output now lowers the 0-100 km/h sprint time to just 7.5 seconds, whilst consuming just 5.7 L/100 km.

Other changes include new 17-iunch alloy wheels and updated body kit, as well as a new 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Earlier spyshots also revealed that the 2026 Proton S70 could receive Ruby Red as a new colour option.

As before, the 2026 Proton S70 continues to offer 13 Level 2 ADAS features, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Since the model’s launch in November 2023, Proton has sold more than 38,000 units of the Proton S70.
