Following the launch of the new 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport in Thailand back in January, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has introduced the updated C-segment HEV SUV here as well.
Priced at RM 148,800 (on-the-road, without insurance), the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport is priced the same as before.

What’s new on the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport?
Blink and you’ll miss the update – that’s how subtle changes are on the new Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport.
Firstly, Toyota has replaced the entire front bumper with a more angular unit. Out goes the blocky front skid plate design, now replaced by a sleeker, more elegant piece. Above that is a revised front grille, now with more upright corners and a GR emblem residing on the lower right corner.
Ditto that for the rear-end – the wave-like design element of the rear bumper now makes way for a more conventional-looking piece, finished in silver. The sporty touch is further accentuated by the Corolla Cross emblem finished in black.
The sporty update is also carried into the cabin. There’s now red stitching that adorns the full-width of the dashboard, door trim, and centre arm rest, while the leather seats now get the red-and-black GR logo embossed on the head rests. The bottom of the steering wheel also receives a GR emblem.
The final GR touch are the red seat belts – something which even the Malaysian-spec, full-fat GR Corolla lacks (offered as an option on the Japanese-spec car).
Apart from these changes, the new 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport is identical to the earlier models – the sport-tuned suspension is unchanged, and so is the 1.8-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain.
Colour options include Dark Turquoise, Platinum White Pearl, and Red Mica Metallic.
