Following its media drive back in February, Jetour Malaysia has just launched the new 2026 Jetour T2 in the country.

The Jetour T2 is the third model after the Dashing and VT9 to be introduced by the company here in Malaysia. The T2 also marks the first of Jetour Malaysia’s T-series, with the T1 set to debut here soon.

Watch: Jetour T2 in Malaysia

Overview

The 2026 Jetour T2 is a C-segment SUV that has its sights set on rivals such as the Proton X70, Honda CR-V, and Mazda CX-5.

Unlike its core rivals, the T2 adopts a more rugged design, which we will get into below.

The sole T2 variant that’s offered here is priced from RM 156,800. For the first 3,000 customers, Jetour Malaysia is offering a RM 2,000 rebate, knocking the price down to RM 154,800. The price is on-the-road, excluding insurance.

Like the Dashing and VT9, the Jetour T2 is locally-assembled (CKD) at the Berjaya facility in Johor.

Exterior

While the rest of the Jetour T2’s rivals adopt an urban SUV design, the T2 does the total opposite, adopting a very rugged SUV design, one that can even rival the Tank 300 in terms of ruggedness.

The 2026 Jetour T2 features blocky, chunky proportions, further accentuated by oversized front and rear bumpers, pronounced fender flares, and a rear-mounted spare tyre, give it a distinctly rugged presence.

The illuminated JETOUR wording is also unique, as this eye-catching element gives the T2 more character.

Our Malaysian-spec Jetour T2, it gets a set of 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/60R19 tyres. There’s also a soft-closing tailgate.

Colour options include Aviation Silver, Carbon Black, and Khaki White.

Interior

Inside the cabin of the Jetour T2, there’s a pair of large displays – a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 15.6-inch infotainment display.

The latter supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and pumps audio through a Sony-branded 12-speaker sound system.

There’s also a pair of power-adjustable and ventilated seats up front replete with memory function, leatherette upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof.

Powertrain

The 2026 Jetour T2 shares its powertrain with the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, featuring a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 254 PS at 5,500 rpm and 375 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm to 4,500 rpm.

Said engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, hooked up to Jetour’s XWD (X Wheel Drive) all-wheel drive system. Said XWD system features seven drive modes, including Normal, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock, and Eco.
