Review: 2026 Leapmotor B10 – As Seamless as EVs Come

Launched in December 2025, the Leapmotor B10 is the second Leapmotor model available in Malaysia, following the C10.

Overview

Despite being called the B10, this is in fact a C-segment EV SUV, one that’s aimed squarely at the BYD Atto 3, MG S5 EV, and Proton eMas 7.

It’s priced competitively too — prices start from RM 99,800 for the Life variant, while the top-spec Design variant you see here is priced at RM 109,800, on par with the CKD Proton eMas 7. Both prices are on-the-road, excluding insurance.

Bear in mind, the B10’s price includes a RM 9,000 rebate for the first 200 customers.

Exterior

If you like how the Leapmotor C10 looks, you’ll appreciate the B10 too. There’s an air of simplicity and maturity about the Leapmotor B10.

There’s no oversized bumper trim or prominent rear diffuser to be found here. The front is simple — a full-width LED headlight sitting atop a bumper with contrasting black trim, with a pair of fog lights on each corner.

Ditto for the rear. It’s a no-fuss design with a full-width LED light bar and the LEAPMOTOR lettering nestled below. A bit like the eMas 7, we would add.

One oddity we noticed was the lack of a rear window wiper, which is a notable omission on an SUV. Rearward visibility, especially in the rain, can be challenging as a result.

Interior

The air of simplicity continues inside — our Design sampler gets Shadow Grey Eco leather upholstery, which lifts the cabin ambiance noticeably. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 eco leather seats provide ample support and comfort.

One area where the B10 differs from its larger C10 sibling is the infotainment system. Earlier in March 2026, Leapmotor rolled out an over-the-air (OTA) update that introduced Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, bringing the B10 up to date in terms of modern-day features. During our time with the car, Apple CarPlay connected seamlessly and audio played through the 12-speaker sound system without issue. That said, audio quality still trails the C10 — the larger sibling offers deeper bass and sharper vocals overall.

Despite the minimalist approach, Leapmotor has worked in some practical touches — folding cup holders up front and innovative dashboard storage slots that allow owners to mount accessories such as tables. None of the B10’s rivals offer anything quite like it.

Driving Impression

The B10 Design features a rear-mounted electric motor that outputs 160 kW (218 PS) and 240 Nm — modest figures for this segment.

But where it counts is in the driving. Power delivery isn’t jerky nor nausea-inducing; instead, the B10 hustles along quietly, building up momentum with relative ease.

The comfort-biased suspension tuning is equally noteworthy, soaking up road surface irregularities without jolting occupants. Body roll through corners is noticeable, but that’s not what the B10 is built for — if anything, the larger C10 has slightly sportier intentions.

Conclusion

Good looks, decent grunt, and a ride comfort that doesn’t jolt you, the Leapmotor B10 is perhaps one of the few EVs that convincingly does it all.

Furthermore, with prices starting right smack at the eMas 7, the Leapmotor B10 makes for a more compelling option than the eMas 7. Plus, with it being a RWD SUV, the B10 is able to offer a small-but-usable frunk, which the eMas 7 lacks.

With all said and done, the proof is in the pudding and you should give the Leapmotor B10 a try. Who knows, it might just surprise you, as what it did with us with its well-rounded package.
