The eMas 5 is currently Malaysia’s best-selling EV model, surpassing 5,000 deliveries within the first two months of 2026 and becoming the first EV to break into the country’s top five best-selling vehicles overall. The newly launched eMas 7 PHEV has recorded more than 3,500 bookings in its first six weeks on sale.
Beyond sales, Proton eMas has accumulated a number of notable achievements. The eMas 5 Premium was named Best Entry-Level xEV of the Year at the 2025 Malaysia Car of the Year Awards. The eMas 7 served as an official vehicle at the ASEAN Summit and led the ASEAN Unity Drive 2025, completing 10,432km across nine ASEAN countries.
To celebrate the market leadership milestone, Pro-Net has launched the “Tell Us Why We’re #1” social media contest, running from 24 March to 14 April 2026. Participants stand a chance to win one of ten weekly prizes of RM100 each in Touch ‘n Go eWallet Reload PINs.

To enter, participants need to follow Proton eMas’s official social media account on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, comment on the contest post with one reason why Proton eMas deserves its number one title, tag three friends, and include the hashtag #ProtonEMASNo1EV.
Salawati Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of Pro-Net, said, “Proton eMas’s milestone as No.1 EV brand belongs to Malaysians as much as it belongs to Pro-Net. Every booking, every review, every road trip shared online, and every owner recommendation has contributed to Malaysia’s No.1 EV brand badge. The ‘Tell Us Why We’re #1’ contest is our way of celebrating that shared journey and putting the spotlight back on the people who made it possible.”
