Pro-Net is marking two milestones at the Penang Autoshow 2026 — a new Jade Green colour for the eMas 5, and the first public showcase of its Global Modular Architecture (GMA) platform in Northern Malaysia.
The eMas 5, which has crossed 8,000 units delivered year-to-date in 2026, is shown in Jade Green alongside the recently introduced Emerald Green eMas 7 PHEV. The new colour joins the existing palette as a permanent addition, on top of Graphite Silver, Marble Cream, Moonstone White, Quartz Rose, and Slate Grey.
As before, the eMas 5 retails for RM 56,800 for the Prime variant, while the Premium goes for RM 69,800.
The GMA platform showcase is notable — it’s the first time Northern Malaysian visitors get a close look at the underpinnings of Pro-Net’s EV and PHEV lineup. The platform features a Highly Integrated Motor, high-strength steel construction, and is built to support both EV and PHEV configurations.
On the regional numbers front, Proton eMas commands a 64.2% EV market share in Northern Malaysia as of March 2026 — a figure Pro-Net attributes partly to the region’s high proportion of landed properties, which makes home charging installation more straightforward than in urban high-rise markets.

Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of Pro-Net, said, “As Malaysia’s No.1 EV brand, we are driving wider EV adoption by making the technology more accessible and easier to understand. The new Jade Green Proton eMas 5 strengthens our lineup with greater choice for customers, while the introduction of the GMA platform in Northern Malaysia enables more Malaysians to experience EV technology firsthand and clearly understand how it differs from conventional ICE vehicles.”
