
BYD and its luxury arm, Denza, is currently organizing their first-ever road show at The Exchange TRX, from 29-April till 4-May. This marks the first time Denza is organizing a roadshow, since the brand made its debut in Malaysia with the Denza D9 back in February 2025.
At the roadshow, visitors can check out a host of BYD and Denza models, including the updated 2025 BYD Atto 3 Ultra, BYD Sealion, BYD Seal, as well as the Denza D9. In addition to the static display, visitors can also test drive these BYD and Denza EVs.
As a brief recap, Denza recorded a total of 800 bookings for its Denza D9 within a week of its launch, cementing the model’s popularity in Malaysia. Thus far, Denza has delivered over 200 units of the D9 to its customers.

For the Malaysian market, the Denza D9 can be had across two variants: Advanced FWD and Premium AWD. The former gets a front-mounted electric motor that does 230 kW (313 PS) and 360 Nm, while the latter adds a rear-mounted electric motor that does 45 kW (61 PS) and 110 Nm, allowing for a combined system output of 270 kW (374 PS) and 470 Nm.
Both variants of the Denza D9 in Malaysia are powered by a BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a 103.6-kWh capacity. The Advanced FWD variant offers a 520 km range, while the Premium AWD offers a 480 km range, both under the WLTP test cycle. The Denza D9 supports up to 166 kW of DC fast charging, requiring just 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% state-of-charge (SoC). AC charging on the Denza D9 goes up to 11 kW.
The Denza D9 is priced from RM 259,000 for the Advanced FWD, while the Premium AWD is priced at RM 309,000.
In addition to the roadshow, Denza also announced that they are the exclusive automotive sponsor for the Jacky Cheung 60+ Concert Tour in Malaysia, set to take place from 15-August to 17-August at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
