Following its prototype debut at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon in January, Subaru has announced that those interested in purchasing the 2025 Subaru WRX STI S210 will need to enter a lottery system in late May. The new generation S210 will be limited to just 500 units, exclusively for the Japanese market.

As part of Subaru’s famed S-series, the WRX STI S210 has been meticulously tuned by Subaru Tecnica International Co., Ltd. (STI). The list of enhancements is extensive, including a performance exhaust system, front tower bar, rear bar, adaptive dampers from ZF, and various S210 emblems.

The 2025 Subaru WRX STI S210 is CVT-only

The WRX STI S210 is based on the WRX S4 STI Sport R EX variant, meaning it retains the turbocharged 2.4-litre FA24F 4-cylinder boxer engine, now tuned to produce 300 PS at 5,700 rpm and 375 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 5,600 rpm. The power increase comes from an upgraded intake and exhaust system, along with a recalibrated ECU.

Unlike its predecessors, the WRX STI S210 is CVT-only. Subaru refers to this as the Subaru Performance Transmission, which features a dedicated transmission fluid cooler. Power is sent to all four wheels via Subaru’s signature AWD system.

Lots of STI enhancements for the WRX STI S210

Beyond the mechanical upgrades, the 2025 WRX STI S210 also sports several exterior enhancements, including a black-painted grille with STI’s signature cherry red stripe, a front skirt, a rear diffuser, STI side garnishes around the fenders, and a massive dry carbon fibre rear spoiler.

Inside, the cabin is elevated with Recaro bucket seats, S210 embroidery on the dashboard, red seat belts, and red stitching on the gear lever, shift boot, and steering wheel.

Subaru has confirmed that the WRX STI S210 will be available in five colours: WR Blue Pearl, Magnetic Grey Metallic, Ceramic White, Crystal Black Silica, and Sunrise Yellow. Notably, Sunrise Yellow is limited to just 50 units.

In Malaysia, the Subaru WRX is priced from RM290,745 (on-the-road, without insurance).
