Recently, Aion Malaysia’s Facebook page teased more details about the upcoming GAC Aion Hyptec HT, this time highlighting some of its key features.
Among the highlighted features are a 600 km range, a 22-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, and first-class seats with a foldable table.
Upon its launch here, the Hyptec HT will make Malaysia the third country to receive the model, following Thailand and Indonesia.
While Aion Malaysia’s teaser did not reveal specific details, looking at the Hyptec HT sold in Thailand and Indonesia can reveal some details.
In both countries, the Hyptec HT is offered with a single powertrain configuration: a rear-mounted electric motor producing 250 kW (340 PS) and 430 Nm, powered by an 83.3 kWh battery pack. Under the NEDC test cycle, it delivers a claimed 620 km range.
Additionally, both markets offer the Hyptec HT with either standard rear doors or Tesla Model X-style gullwing rear doors.
In the Kingdom, the Hyptec HT is priced between THB 1.449 million to THB 1.749 million (estimated RM189k to RM228k), while those in Indonesia would need to pay IDR 691 million to IDR 843.5 million (estimated RM184k to RM224k). We reckon that Malaysian prices of the Aion Hyptec HT would be in a similar ballpark.
