Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has announced that two variants of the 2025 Porsche 911, the Porsche 911 Carrera and Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, are now available in Malaysia. Prices of the 2025 Porsche 911, codenamed 992.2, start from RM 1.43 million.
2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is the first-ever hybrid 911
For the first time ever, the Porsche 911 is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, as Porsche’s engineers utilized knowledge gained from motorsports as the basis for designing the hybrid system.

At the heart of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is a newly-developed turbocharged 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine that’s hooked up to Porsche’s T-Hybrid system. The new boxer engine outputs 485 PS and 570 Nm on its own, while combined system output is 541 PS and 610 Nm, a healthy 61 PS increase over the predecessor. The new T-Hybrid-equipped 911 Carrera 4 GTS completes the century sprint in 3 seconds flat, with a top speed of 312 km/h.
Porsche’s T-Hybrid system features a newly-developed electric exhaust gas turbocharger. An integrated electric motor, located between the compressor and turbine wheel, instantaneously brings the turbocharger up to speed, building up boost pressure.

Then there’s an electric motor in the exhaust gas turbocharger that also functions as a generator, generating up to 11 kW (15 PS) of electric power. This design eliminates the need for a wastegate and reduces the number of turbochargers, from two to one, allowing for a more responsive power delivery.
In addition to that, the new T-Hybrid system also features a permanent magnet synchronous motor integrated into the new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK). Even at idle speed, it supports the boxer engine with extra torque of up to 150 Nm and provides a power boost of up to 40 kW.

Porsche couples both electric motors to a lightweight and compact high-voltage battery, comparable in dimensions to a conventional 12-volt starter battery, but stores up to 1.9 kWh of energy (gross) and operates at a voltage of 400 V. For an optimised overall weight, Porsche has installed a lightweight lithium-ion battery for the 12 V on-board electrical system.
2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS gains rear-axle steering as standard
Chassis enhancements for the 992.2 911 Carrera 4 GTS include rear-axle steering as standard. The model also features sport suspension with a variable damper system (PASM) and a ride height lowered by 10 mm. The 992.2 911 Carrera 4 GTS wears 245/34ZR20 wheels up front, and 315/30ZR21 wheels at the rear. Optionally, there are a total of seven wheel designs available for the model.

2025 Porsche 911 Carrera gets improved parts from the Turbo and GTS models
As for the Porsche 911 Carrera, it continues with a twin turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine, albeit comprehensively revamped, now adopting the intercooler from the Turbo models. The new intercooler works in conjunction with the new turbochargers, which were once reserved for the GTS models, enables the new 911 Carrera to bump up power output to 394 PS and 450 Nm. The century sprint is completed in just 4.1 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 294 km/h.
Matrix LED headlights as standard, HD matrix headlights optional
Exterior-wise, the Porsche 911 now gets matrix LED headlights as standard fitment, integrating all lighting functions. As an option, Porsche also offers HD matrix LED headlights with more than 32,000 light points, illuminating a distance of more than 600 meters. The 32,000 LEDs also allow for more granular lighting control where needed.

The 911 Carrera 4 GTS can be identified via the new five vertically-arranged active cooling air flaps. There are also adaptive front diffusers underneath the car, which are controlled together with the cooling air flaps. These help to optimize air flow and cooling when needed.
Optionally, buyers can also choose to include an aero kit that includes the SportDesign front bumper with a unique front skirt, matching side sill panels, and a lightweight rear wing.

Fully digital 12.6-inch curved display is a first for the 911
The improvements continue inside – there is now a fully digital instrument cluster in the Porsche 911 992.2, featuring a 12.6-inch curved display. Being digital also allows Porsche to offer seven different configs, including a Classic display that is inspired by the traditional five-tube Porsche dial design.

Infotainment duties are handled by the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), which is controlled via the 10.9-inch display. Apple CarPlay is still available, but has been enhanced with deeper integration with the 911. Drivers can also choose to display information from CarPlay to the instrument cluster.
The new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera will be available as a coupé with a rear-wheel drive layout, while the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is available as both a coupé and Targa, with all-wheel drive as standard.
