Following the introduction of the GWM Tank 300 in Malaysia, GWM Malaysia is gearing up to introduce its next model, the GWM Tank 500. Bookings are now opened for the new luxury 7-seater SUV in Malaysia. The upcoming GWM Tank 500 is estimated to be priced below RM 350,000.
For the Malaysian market, the GWM Tank 500 will be powered by a petrol-electric hybrid turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Combined system output of the GWM Tank 500 is 255 kW (346 PS) and 648 Nm, delivered to all four wheels via GWM’s intelligent 4WD with M-Lock.
The GWM Tank 500 measures 5,078 mm in length, 1,924 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height, with a 2,850 mm wheelbase. For context, that’s comparable to the J300-generation, TNGA-F-based Toyota Land Cruiser.
Stepping into the cabin of the GWM Tank 500 and you’ll be greeted by Nappa leather seats, Infinity sound system, power retractable side steps, and front seats with massage and ventilation.
Customers can choose between three body colours, namely Crystal Gray, Hamilton White, and Sun Black.
