2025 Jetour VT9 launched in Malaysia, 7-seater D-segment SUV priced from RM 118,800

Jetour Malaysia continues to build momentum in the local automotive scene with the official debut of the VT9 SUV at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 in MAEPS, Serdang. The new SUV comes slightly over a month after the Dashing made its Malaysian debut.

Prices start from RM 118,800 for the Comfort variant, while the Prime variant is priced from RM 123,800. Both prices are on-the-road, without insurance. The Jetour VT9 is backed by a 7-year/150,000 km warranty, as well as a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty. In addition to that, the Jetour VT9 also gets 5 times free servicing, inclusive of labour and parts.

The name “VT” stands for “Venture,” while the “9” signifies enhanced space and comfort — ideal for families and long-distance journeys. Built on a solid platform, the VT9 features a sleek silhouette, signature X-Face front grille, LED lighting, and sporty twin tailpipes. Traditional Chinese design elements, such as lantern-style DRLs and a feather-inspired grille, add a refined cultural touch.

Inside, the 7-seater cabin offers up to 1,680 litres of cargo space, foldable rear seats, and premium finishes like a leather-wrapped D-shaped steering wheel and perforated seats. A 10.25-inch twin-screen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and voice commands for seamless connectivity.

Designed for comfort and safety, the VT9 includes a 62-inch panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, 50W wireless fast charging, CN95 air filtration and six airbags.

Powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine that outputs 156 PS at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm between 1,750 rpm to 4,000 rpm, this engine is paired to a six-speed DCT transmission. This powertrain is shared with the Dashing.

It’s offered in two variants:

  • Comfort: Automatic LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, perforated leather, 50W wireless charging
  • Prime: Adds panoramic sunroof, memory seats, 6-speaker sound system, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Both versions come in five colours: Star Black, Khaki White, Phantom Grey, Tech Grey, and Aurora Green.

According to Jetour Malaysia CEO Mr Fu Yong, “The launch represents a strategic step forward in catering to the diverse and ever-evolving market needs. JETOUR VT9 represents a progression in the brand’s expansion strategy as it is a dynamic SUV engineered to deliver style, performance, and smart practicality. As we are growing our footprint in Malaysia, we are committed to introducing vehicles that offer both functionality and design with a clear sense of purpose and innovation.”
