
Just recently, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the range-topping 2025 Mercedes-AMG SL63S E Performance. This range-topping SL model is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model.

What powertrain does the 2025 Mercedes-AMG SL63S E Performance get?
Priced from RM 2.2 million, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG SL63S E Performance gets Affalterbach’s hand-built twin turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, serving 612 PS and 850 Nm, while a rear-mounted electric motor contributes another 204 PS and 320 Nm, bringing the combined system output to 816 PS and an eye-watering 1,420 Nm of twist.

Drive is sent to all four wheels via a two-speed hybrid transmission, while the rear gets a mechanical limited-slip differential. The electric motor is powered by a 6.1-kWh battery pack, which can be AC recharged, up to 3.7 kW via the on-board charger. The SL63S E Performance offers an EV range of up to 13 km.

According to the boys from Affalterbach, this flagship SL63S E Performance is able to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 317 km/h.
