The Toyota GR86 Cup Malaysia Series Round 2 returned to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), following its debut as the official support race during the 2025 Super GT Malaysia round.
As the official tyre supplier for the GR86 Cup Malaysia, Bridgestone once again proved the performance of its ultra-high-performance tyre — the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS — delivering outstanding grip, control, and stability throughout the race weekend.
Two racing categories, Pro-Am and Clubman, set the stage for an action-packed weekend from 25 to 27 July 2025. A total of 17 similarly-specced Toyota GR86 race cars competed for glory, with Sunday’s final race becoming the highlight.

Multiple on-track incidents over the race weekend tested both driver skill and the resilience of equipment. Despite the collisions and the punishing Sepang heat — with track temperatures soaring to nearly 38°C — the Potenza RE-71RS showcased exceptional durability, allowing racers to maintain consistent lap times and tight battles until the chequered flag.
