Sime Motors is marking its 45th anniversary in Malaysia, celebrating nearly five decades of growth, innovation, and customer trust. Established in 1980, the company has evolved into Malaysia’s largest automotive retailer, representing a wide portfolio of global marques and shaping the nation’s mobility landscape.
Today, Sime Motors retails and services some of the world’s most recognisable automotive names, including BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad, BYD, Denza, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Porsche, as well as pre-owned solutions via Auto Selection, Drivecare, and EV Next for used EVs. This breadth of representation cements Sime Motors as a one-stop centre for premium and everyday mobility.
Since its founding, Sime Motors has consistently pushed the Malaysian automotive industry forward:
- 1980s to 1990s: Established a trusted retail presence and nationwide customer reach.
- 2000s: Expanded rapidly across luxury, premium, and mass-market segments with stronger sales and aftersales networks.
- 2010s: Introduced additional international marques while enhancing ownership experiences.
