Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced a new strategic partnership with DC Handal to launch a Mercedes-Benz branded EV charging hub at Bamboo Hills, Kuala Lumpur.
This initiative represents a major step in the brand’s mission to strengthen Malaysia’s EV charging network and advance the nation’s transition toward sustainable mobility.
Developed in collaboration with Hap Seng Star, one of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s key retail partners, the new Bamboo Hills charging hub adds to the company’s growing network of branded charging sites across the country.
With this latest addition, Malaysia now has six Mercedes-Benz branded charging locations, complementing the brand’s existing partnerships with JomCharge, ChargeEV, Gentari, and P.UP.
By situating charging points at high-traffic lifestyle destinations like Bamboo Hills, the brand aims to make EV ownership more convenient and accessible for both existing and future customers.

Amanda Zhang, CEO & President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said, “With Bamboo Hills, we are accelerating the charge, bringing our electric vehicle owners closer to an era where performance, innovation, and sustainability converge. This collaboration with DC Handal and Hap Seng Star reflects our strategic commitment to enhancing the Mercedes-Benz EV ecosystem in Malaysia, ensuring that every vehicle is supported by a robust and intelligent charging infrastructure. This initiative also reflects Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s alignment with the brand’s global Ambition 2039 strategy, which charts the course toward sustainable mobility.
The Bamboo Hills hub forms part of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s multi-channel charging strategy, which includes home charging installations, dealership-based chargers, and public lifestyle charging locations.
This approach ensures customers have flexible access to charging wherever they are — at home, on the go, or during leisure activities.
“Our partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia at Bamboo Hills represents a significant step forward in delivering reliable, high-performance charging infrastructure that meets the expectations of premium EV drivers. At DC Handal, we are committed to advancing Malaysia’s electric mobility ecosystem through innovative energy solutions and strategic deployment of charging facilities. By combining our technical expertise with Mercedes-Benz’s vision for sustainable luxury mobility, we’re ensuring that EV charging is not only fast and dependable but also seamlessly integrated into the places where people live, work, and play. This collaboration reinforces our mission to accelerate the transition to electric transportation across Malaysia,” said Zamri bin Mahmud, Director of DC Handal.

According to Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & SEA II, the Bamboo Hills project is about more than just charging, it’s about creating meaningful customer touchpoints. “This next phase of our charging strategy is about more than just infrastructure. It’s about elevating every journey. Through our partnerships with DC Handal and Hap Seng Star, we’re strengthening Malaysia’s EV ecosystem while delivering a seamless ownership experience that combines luxury and electrification.”
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and its retail partners plan to expand the charging network further by the end of 2025, offering more high-end charging destinations nationwide.
The company has already introduced eleven battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in Malaysia — including the Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology — and continues to integrate luxury, performance, and sustainability into every aspect of its customer experience.
