Proton has just opened the bookings for the upcoming 2026 Proton Saga MC3. The new A-segment sedan was previewed a couple of weeks back, giving us an early look at Proton’s bread-and-butter model.
And now, as we inch another day close to the model’s launch, Proton has opened bookings for the 2026 Proton Saga MC3 via livestream.

The 2026 Proton Saga MC3 has an estimated price of between RM 40,000 to RM 50,000. The top-spec Saga marks a roughly RM 5,000 increase over the current model.
Additionally, early booking offers include a free special edition Touch n Go card, as well as free one-year service (or 20,000 km, whichever comes first). The early booking offer is valid for the first 20,000 bookings made before the official launch and units registered before 31-December 2025.
Those interested can visit the booking page here.

What’s new with the 2026 Proton Saga MC3?

The Saga MC3 is essentially a heavily reworked and updated version of the third-generation Saga.
While the Saga MC3 is developed on an updated platform and body structure of the third-generation model, Proton has renamed the platform to Advanced Modular Architecture (AMA), with the Saga being AMA01.

Kicking things off is the brand-new engine. Out goes the ageing CamPro, now replaced with a brand-new naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine codenamed BHE15-CFN. It is the naturally-aspirated version of the four-pot found in the updated Proton X50. This engine outputs 120 PS and 150 Nm.

But this new BHE15-CFN isn’t just about power – Proton has mentioned that the new engine employs the more efficient Atkinson cycle, as well as dual variable valve timing (DVVT) and electric water pump thermal management. Proton mentioned that these features help reduce fuel consumption by 14.04%, thus bringing the fuel consumption down to 4.9 L/100 km (CVT) to 5.1 L/100 km (4AT) under the MDC test cycle.

Elsewhere, there’s also a pair of automatic projector LED headlights, full-width LED light bar at the rear, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, redesigned dashboard, six airbags and ADAS.
Ikonik Together-gather nationwide campaign
Like the MISI 5 tour that recently concluded, Proton is hosting the Ikonik Together-gather nationwide campaign to build up anticipation for the new Saga MC3, celebrating Malaysia’s love for food, lifestyle, and community.
The Ikonik Together-gather campaign runs from 14- to 23-November, which will see the activities travel across key regions across Malaysia, blending local flavours, cultural experiences, and on-ground KOL engagements.
