New 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce detailed ahead of launch: Est. RM 105k to RM 115k, 2 variants, 1.5L NA

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has previewed the upcoming 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce ahead of the model’s launch later this year. This new B-segment SUV is scheduled to launch here some time in April. Upon its launch in April, the Xforce will be challenging well-established B-segment SUVs within the segment, including the Proton X50 and Toyota Corolla Cross.

Overview

The 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce can be considered as the five-seater version of the Mitsubishi Xpander – both are developed on the same platform and share the same 1.5-litre 4A91 four-cylinder petrol engine.

First shown to the world as the XFC Concept back in 2022, the model then evolved into the Xforce a year later at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show.

Our Malaysian units are locally-assembled (CKD) by Hicom at their Pekan facility. Malaysia is the fourth country after Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan to manufacture the Xforce.

The 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce is tentatively priced between RM 110,000 (Urban) to RM 120,000 (Ultimate). For the first 1,000 customers, MMM is offering a RM 5,000 rebate, thus bringing the price down to RM 105,000 (Urban) to RM 115,000 (Ultimate).

Exterior

Starting from the exterior, the Mitsubishi Xforce adopts Mitsubishi’s latest Dynamic Shield design language, with Y-shaped lights up front and the rear. Muscular curves help give the Xforce a more menacing look, something that Mitsubishi said buyers of the Xforce would appreciate.

Both variants (Urban & Ultimate) are fitted with 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, wrapped in 225/50R18 Toyo Proxes CR1 tyres all-round. LED headlights are also fitted to both variants of the Xforce here.

Colour options include Diamond Black Metallic, Graphite Grey, Quartz White Pearl, and Red Metallic.

Interior

Despite sharing its platform with the Xpander, the Xforce features a more upmarket cabin, featuring a white mélange weave with mocha accent dashboard (Ultimate only). The mocha accent can also be found on the door trim and seats, which help to give the cabin some much-needed contrast.

Some bits, like the air-cond vents, steering wheel, climate controls, and switchgear are derived from the Xpander.

The Ultimate variant also offers a large 12.3-inch infotainment display and an 8.0-inch digital driver display. The former is hooked up to a Yamaha sound system with 8 speakers. It also offers automatic dual-zone climate control, Qi wireless charging, blue ambient lighting, as well as front and rear DVR.

Powertrain

Powering the 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce for Malaysia is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that does 105 PS and 141 Nm, hooked up to a CVT transmission sending drive to the front wheels. The engine is codenamed 4A91 and is shared with the Xpander.
