Blacked-out looks – Proton X50 gets new Quartz Black colour for all variants

Following the successful launch of the limited-run Proton X50 Black Edition, Proton has officially introduced Quartz Black as a standard color option across all variants of the Proton X50, effective starting April 2026.

The decision to expand the availability of the black colorway follows the immediate success of the Proton X50 Black Edition in March, which was limited to just 200 units and exclusively available for the Flagship variant. By making Quartz Black available across the entire X50 lineup, Proton aims to meet the high customer demand for the darker hue. Practically, black vehicles maintain strong desirability across different buyer groups, aiding in resale value and residual retention in the Malaysian market.
