It has been confirmed – the Perodua Ativa Hybrid will be locally-assembled (CKD) by Perodua, nearly four years since the second national carmaker launched the CBU Ativa Hybrid as a subscription-only model.
Recently, rendering Whizz theottle went busy with his idea on how the upcoming Ativa Hybrid could look like.
Here, he adapted the frond-end of the Perodua Traz onto the Ativa, whilst maintain the Ativa’s headlights.

As for the rear, theottle gave his version of the Ativa Hybrid a more comprehensive update, encompassing a revised tailgate with a repositioned number plate, as well as a cleaner rear bumper. Mini Traz? We certainly think so.
At the same time, there are rumours suggesting that the Ativa Hybrid’s launch could coincide with the debut of the Ativa facelift. Recall that the Perodua Ativa has yet to receive a facelift, despite being slightly over 5 years old on the market. Ditto that for its siblings, including the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky.
Right now, we don’t have a timeline on when Perodua will launch the Ativa Hybrid in the country, but Perodua President and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad did reveal that discussions are in the final stages, which includes production time and pricing.
