Tesla Malaysia has opened a new Experience Centre at Mid Valley Southkey, Johor Bahru, and commenced deliveries of the Model Y L across Malaysia. The Model Y L launched in Malaysia just two months after its April 2026 global debut.

The new Experience Centre occupies 3,300 sq ft at G-019, South, Mid Valley Southkey, near Sogo. All three models in Tesla’s Malaysian lineup, including the Model 3, Model Y, and Model Y L, are on display. Four Superchargers are also operational at the Ground External, North section of Mid Valley Southkey, near St. Giles Hotels.

The opening brings Tesla’s Malaysian retail presence to seven locations: Tesla Centre Cyberjaya, Tesla Experience Centre at Pavilion Damansara Heights, pop-up displays at Setia City Mall and The Waterfront Desa ParkCity, Tesla Experience Centre at Gurney Plaza Penang, the new Mid Valley Southkey outlet, and a display at The Spring Kuching.
As of early 2026, Tesla operates 19 Supercharging stations with 84 Superchargers and 17 Destination Charging stations with 73 Destination Chargers across Malaysia. At peak charging speeds of 250kW, the Model Y L can gain up to 288km of range in 15 minutes. Further charging expansion is planned for Klang Valley, Penang, Perak, and East Malaysia.

Tesla has also introduced cross-country service and support coverage across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. This covers Tesla’s regional charging network, connectivity, and service warranty, with access to nine Tesla Service Centres and Service Express outlets and 12 Tesla Approved Body Shops across the three markets.
With a Premium Connectivity subscription, Tesla vehicles gain access to roaming coverage, Grok AI, Internet browser, live traffic and navigation, trip planner, and video and music streaming.
Isabel Fan, Senior Director at Tesla, said, “Tesla’s mission is to build a world of amazing abundance. Tesla enables the use of electric vehicles by increasing the accessibility of Tesla technology and providing charging solutions around people’s lifestyles. Tesla will keep investing in the country to create a seamless ownership experience in the region with the direct business model, customer support and end-to-end customer experience across the region.”
Test drives for the Model 3 and Model Y are available at Tesla Centres and pop-up stores nationwide.
