Throwback editions of cars tend to blend modern iterations with styling and/or design cues of significant past editions, just like this 2025 Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition.
For Miataheads out there, they would immediately recognize that the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition draws inspiration from the 1995 Mazda MX-5 M-Edition, albeit with a modern twist.

The biggest difference is that, although the shade of colour looks similar, the modern MX-5 colour is called Artisan Red Premium Metallic, as opposed to Merlot Mica on the MX-5 M-Edition. That said, the tan interior is a faithful nod to the original.

Exclusive 35th Anniversary Edition bits include the ‘35th Anniversary’ logo embossed on the seats and exterior, contrasting tan stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever, and hand brake. There’s also the 35th Anniversary logo on the floor mats.
For the Malaysian market, Bermaz is offering the 2025 Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition in a sole 2.0 variant, mated to the tried-and-tested six-speed automatic transmission. The sole variant of the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition retails for RM 316,154 (on-the-road, without insurance).
Those interested in the 2025 Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition can check the car out at the LG Oval Concourse at 1Utama Shopping Centre, from today (9 April 2025) till Sunday (13 April 2025).
