One full circle – Jetour’s CKD partner in Malaysia is Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd

During the launch of the 2025 Jetour Dashing, the Chery-owned marque has announced that their CKD local assembly partner will be Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd, located in Johor Bharu.

Mr. Ke Chuandeng and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, Berjaya Corporation Bhd’s Founder and Advisor cum major shareholder of Berjaya Assets Bhd, officiated the exchange of the agreement between Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Assets Bhd) and Jetour Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This marks a significant milestone in their collaboration on Completely Knocked Down (CKD) projects and the introduction of Jetour’s vehicle models to the Malaysian market.

As a brief recap, the Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd plant used to assemble Chery models in the past, such as the Chery Eastar and Chery Maxime. The plant currently assembles commercial vehicles such as the Foton View and Weststar Maxus.

The first batch of the Jetour Dashing is imported (CBU) from China. CKD local assembly is scheduled to start from late-May. Prices start from RM 109,800 for the Jetour Dashing Comfort, while the Jetour Dashing Prime is priced from RM 116,800.
