2025 BMW M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre launched in Malaysia, priced from RM 397k

In conjunction with the BMW 3 Series’ 50th anniversary, BMW Malaysia has launched the 2025 BMW M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre in Malaysia. As you’ve guessed, the Edition 50 Jahre is limited to 50 units.

Priced from RM 396,800 (on-the-road, without insurance), the Edition 50 Jahre is roughly RM 11k more than the regular M340i. Throw in the BSRI five-year warranty and service package and the Edition 50 Jahre’s price starts from RM 423,200. Similar to the regular M340i, the Edition 50 Jahre is locally-assembled (CKD) at BMW’s Kulim plant.

Compared to the regular M340i, the Edition 50 Jahre adds a number of M Performance Parts. Starting with the exterior, there’s a new side skirt, M subtle Edition 50 Jahre emblems can be found on the B-pillars , while the interior gets new Sensatec black upholstery and Tacora Red, Alcantara-wrapped centre arm rest with M Performance embossing, carbon fibre paddle shifters, and the Edition 50 Jahre emblem on the centre console.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional continues on the Edition 50 Jahre, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment display, powered by BMW’s Operating System 8.5. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is supported. The Edition 50 Jahre also gets a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon sound system, just like the regular M340i.

As before, the M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine that does 387 PS and 500 Nm, deployed to all four wheels via the company’s xDrive system. The century sprint is completed in just 4.4 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Buyers of the Edition 50 Jahre can pick between four colours, namely Alpine White, Arctic Race Blue, Black Sapphire, and M Brooklyn Grey.
