Super GT returns to Malaysia for 2025, Bridgestone sponsors inaugural GR86 Cup Malaysia

It’s time to clear your calendars, as the legendary Super GT race is set to return to Malaysia after a 12-year hiatus.

Set to take place at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from 26-June to 28-June, there will be a host of activities scheduled to take place, including the GT Live! post-race concert.

For the Malaysian leg of the Super GT race, Haro Sports & Entertainment is the rights holder and promoter, with Nihon Matsuri as the co-organizer.

“Super GT Malaysia Festival is not a just a race. It’s an event that’s sure to entertain everyone. From automotive exhibits to Japanese cultural extravaganza, and JDM car gatherings to the GT Live! post-race concert. Whatever your interest may be, one ticket gives you access to all the thrills.” said Haro Sports & Entertainment Managing Partner Fahrizal Hasan.

UMW Toyota Motor and Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia have joined to become the Title Sponsor of the race. Furthermore, the Festival will also host Round 2 of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Challenge 2025 race.

But that’s not all – further spicing up the event is the GR86 Cup Malaysia Series, which will make its debut as a support race with two 10-lap races, with two more races scheduled for the year. Bridgestone is the sponsor for the inaugural GR86 Cup Malaysia, with the cup cars wearing 225/45R17 Bridgestone Potenza RE71RS tyres.
