After being discontinued in October 2023, the Mazda 3 1.5L variants are officially making a comeback in Malaysia. According to multiple dealer postings on social media, the 2025 Mazda 3 1.5L will be reintroduced in High Plus trim, with an estimated starting price of RM 118,900.
The reintroduction is scheduled to happen in September 2025, possibly coinciding with the Malaysian debut of the flagship Mazda CX-60.

The new Mazda 3 1.5L is RM 24,100 cheaper than before. Previously, this variant retailed for RM 143,000 (on-the-road, without insurance). Now, it’s expected to be priced from just RM 118,900, making it a much more competitive offering in the C-segment sedan space.
The 2025 Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus will be offered in both:
- Sedan
- Hatchback
This brings the body style choices in line with the existing 2.0L range.

The previous 1.5L variant was considered lightly equipped, but not anymore. The new High Plus version includes:
- LED headlights with signature DRLs
- 18-inch alloy wheels (up from 16-inch)
- Leather upholstery
- Powered driver seat
- 10.25-inch infotainment display

As before, the Mazda 3 1.5L is expected to be powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine that outputs 118 PS and 153 Nm, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission.
Currently, the Mazda 3 range in Malaysia is priced between RM 156,059 to RM 175,059 (on-the-road, without insurance).
