Roughly two weeks after bookings were opened, Honda Malaysia has just launched the new 2025 Honda HR-V in Malaysia.
As before, four variants of the Honda HR-V are offered across three powertrain options.

The variants include:
- 1.5 S
- 1.5 E
- 1.5 V
- 1.5 RS
Prices for the new 2025 Honda HR-V are as follow:
- 1.5 S: RM 115,900
- 1.5 E: RM 130,900
- 1.5 V: RM 137,900
- 1.5 RS: RM 143,900
Powertrain options include a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre (121 PS, 145 Nm), turbocharged 1.5-litre (181 PS and 240 Nm), and the highlight of the range, the petrol-electric e:HEV hybrid with 131 PS and 253 Nm.

Fitted exclusively to the Honda HR-V 1.5 RS e:HEV, Honda’s ingenious hybrid system boasts the segment’s lowest fuel consumption figure of 4.1L/100 km.
What’s new on the 2025 Honda HR-V?

The biggest change the new front fascia, now with a more angular shape front grille filled with larger and blockier elements than the pre-facelift model. A pair LED headlights with Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) and Active Cornering Lights (ACL) which flank the new grille.

Round the sides are a set of 18-inch wheels, now with a twin five-spoke design finished in a black-silver two-tone colour scheme – the wheel design is standard for all variants of the 2025 Honda HR-V.

Towards the rear-end, the new 2025 Honda HR-V receives a new full-width LED tail light, with a pair of light strips parallel to each other.

Stepping inside the cabin and the biggest improvement is the new floating-style infotainment system, replete with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for all variants.

Beneath that is a redesigned centre console, now fitted with a wireless charger pad. The top-spec RS variant also gets RS embossing on the seats.

Honda’s famed ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ philosophy carries over into the new HR-V as well – storage spaces are aplenty, while the signature Multi-Utility Seats that offers Utility Mode, Long Mode, and Tall Mode are present.

Safety is backed by six airbags (four on the 1.5 S), vehicle stability assist, Agile Handle Assist (AHA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and Hill Start Assist (HSA). All variants of the new 2025 Honda HR-V offer the Honda Sensing ADAS suite that includes:
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Low Speed Follow (LSF)
- Auto High Beam (AHB)
- Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN)
- Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB)
The 1.5 V and 1.5 e:HEV RS variants of the new 2025 Honda HR-V also offer the Honda LaneWatch camera that feeds video to the head unit when the driver engages the left signal, thus eliminating blind spot.

In addition to the new equipment, Honda is also offering two new colours on the updated 2025 Honda HR-V: Crystal Black Pearl and Phoenix Orange Pearl. These will join the existing colours, including Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Stellar Diamond Pearl.

In conjunction with the launch of the new 2025 Honda HR-V, Honda Malaysia is organising a nationwide event at all showrooms from 19- to 20-July 2025, where customers can check out the new B-segment SUV.
Be quick, as there’s the New HR-V Early Bird Program, where buyers can enjoy early booking rewards of up to RM 1,500*.
