In terms of design, the Jaecoo J8 takes a different approach compared to the blocky Jaecoo J7. Up front there’s a large grille, which Jaecoo calls the “Waterfall front grille” with bold vertical slats, with a pair of slim LED headlights nestled at each corner. Towards the bottom are J-shaped trim pieces that give the front fascia a ‘moustache’-like appearance.

At least the rear of the 2025 Jaecoo J8 is more traditional. There’s a full-width LED tail light with LED light strip, replete with the JAECOO name emblazoned across. Below that is the J8 and AWD emblems, while the lower part of the rear bumper gets a pair of faux muffler tips.

A set of 20-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels, black-painted A-, B-, C-, and D-pillars, hidden door handles, and black roof complete the exterior of the Jaecoo J8.

Inside, the both the Jaecoo J8 variants get dual 12.3-inch displays, one that serves as a digital instrument cluster and the other as the infotainment display. Beneath the infotainment display are three air-conditioning vents.

There’s also a Qi wireless charging pad, Drive Mode selector, and a 12-speaker Sony sound system for the 2WD variant. Bumping up for the AWD variant increases the speaker count to 14 and even includes a fragrance system.

What truly sets the two variants apart is the seating arrangement – the 2WD variant is a traditional five-seater SUV, while the AWD variant is a six-seater (2+2+2 configuration) SUV.

With the third-row upright, the AWD variant offers 200 litres of boot space. With the third-row folded flat (in the J8 AWD), both variants unlock 738 litres of boot space, expanding up to 2,021 litres in the 2WD variant (second-row folded flat).

As for body colours, both the 2025 Jaecoo J8 2WD and AWD variants off Carbon Crystal Black, Khaki White, and Olive Grey as their options, but the AWD variant adds a dual-tone black roof.

There is also an early bird offer for customers who book their Jaecoo J8 on or before 21-July 2025 will be entitled to the Jaecoo Prime Protection Programme, which includes complimentary insurance coverage for one year (excluding windscreen and optional add-on benefits).

This package also extends the standard 7-year/150,000km warranty with an upgraded 10-year/unlimited mileage engine warranty — a bold assurance of lasting performance.

Deliveries of the Jaecoo J8 AWD is set to commence in July 2025, followed by the 2WD variant.
