As the name suggests, the 2025 BYD Atto 2 slots below the larger Atto 3, but is larger than the BYD Dolphin. It measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall. The BYD Atto 2 has a 2,620 mm long wheelbase.

The comparison table below gives a better idea of the Atto 2’s dimensions.

Being a preview, technical details for the Malaysian-spec Atto 2 remain under wraps for now. But looking at overseas markets reveal that the Atto 2 features a 45.12-kWh LFP BYD Blade battery pack, allowing for a combined range of up to 312 km under the WLTP test cycle.

Said LFP battery pack powers a front-mounted electric motor that outputs 130 kW (177 PS) and 290 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 second. Top speed for the Atto 2 is quoted at 160 km/h.

The BYD Atto 2 supports up to 65 kW DC fast charging, which takes 28 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% state-of-charge (SoC). As for AC charging, the Atto 2 can accept up to 11 kW, requiring 5.5 hours to fully charge this EV SUV.

Though the Atto 2 was heavily wrapped up, we noticed details such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED tail lights with light bar, and what appears to be an ADAS suite (camera + millimeter wave radar).

Stay tuned for our launch report of the 2025 BYD Atto 2 next week!
