Well, this is a pleasant surprise. It seems like Suzuki Malaysia could be adding a new model to its line-up in the near future.
As seen on on Suzuki Malaysia’s Facebook post, it mentions “Your feedback fuels our future. Which Suzuki model should hit the Malaysian road next?”

Said post has three cars that Suzuki Malaysia could be bringing in, namely the Suzuki XL7, Suzuki Fronx, and Suzuki S-Presso. Judging by the slim lights and roof rails, Suzuki Malaysia could be introducing the 2025 Suzuki Fronx in the country soon.

This new A-segment crossover made its regional debut in Indonesia, and is aimed squarely at the Honda WR-V and Perodua Ativa. Locally-assembled (CKD) at Suzuki’s Cikarang, Indonesia plant, the Indonesian-spec Fronx is priced between IDR 259 million (~RM 67k) to IDR 321.9 million (~RM 83k), slotting right in between its other Japanese rivals.

Powertrain options include a naturally-aspirated petrol engine (1.5L K15B with 105 PS and 138 Nm) and a petrol-electric mild-hybrid (MHEV, 103 PS, 137 Nm).

Transmission options for the Indo-spec Suzuki Fronx include a 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic, and 6-speed automatic.

The 2025 Suzuki Fronx could be imported (CBU) from Indonesia
Suzuki has confirmed that its Indonesia plant is slated to be the regional export hub for the Fronx, and Thailand will be launching the model in September 2025.

Plus, Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Malaysia, has projected sales to hit 2,000 units by 2027, it is likely that the company will be increasing their portfolio of models. The 2025 Suzuki Fronx could be a good fit, as it would give Suzuki Malaysia a better competing chance in the A-segment SUV market.
