Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim just announced that full-time e-hailing drivers will received an increased fuel quota of 800 litres under the Budi95 scheme, with the subsidy expanded to include airport taxis.

He added that the decision was made to raise the quota for e-hailing drivers from the previous 600 litres was made after receiving feedback from drivers that the quota was insufficient.

“Therefore, the government has agreed to increase the Budi95 eligibility limit for e-hailing drivers to 800 litres per month,” he told malaymail.

Back on 13-October, the government had already increased said quota from 300 litres to 600 litres per month for nearly 58,000 e-hailing drivers.

According to Anwar, only 0.7% of the Budi95 recipients exceed the 300-litre monthly quota. The vast majority of users utilize an average of 98 litres in a month (about 33% of their 300-litre quota).
