New 2026 GWM Ora Good Cat & Good Cat GT launched in Malaysia: Priced from RM 109,800

GWM Malaysia has just launched the new 2026 GWM Ora Good Cat and the souped-up Ora Good Cat GT, roughly six months after the initial teaser back in April.

Overview

In this update exercise, GWM given the Ora Good Cat a new battery pack and equipment, as well as introducing a slightly more potent Ora Good Cat GT version – the latter made its debut way back in 2021 but only arrived here this year.

Prices start from RM 109,800 for the refreshed Ora Good Cat, while the GT variant goes for RM 119,800. Similar to the pre-updated model, the 2026 GWM Ora Good Cat is fully-imported (CBU) from Thailand.

Exterior

Starting with the exterior of the regular Ora Good Cat, it looks largely identical to the pre-update model, down to the five-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels.

The rear of the refreshed is identical to the prior model, replete with the third brake light integrated into the rear windshield.

Changes to the Ora Good Cat GT is more apparent – there’s a sportier front bumper with contrasting yellow highlights and faux carbon fibre finishing, large rear spoiler with a more prominent rear diffuser piece with yellow highlights, and new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, also with yellow highlights.

Colour options include Hazel Wood Beige with Brown roof, Pistachio Green, and So Blue with Black roof for the refreshed Good Cat, while the Ora Good Cat GT is finished in Sun Black or Aqua Grey.

The So Blue colour gets a colour-specific 18-inch alloy wheels finished in black, with yellow brake calipers.

Interior

Mirroring the exterior, not much has changed in the regular Good Cat. The rotary dial-style gear shifter has also been relocated as a column shifter, thus freeing up space on the centre console.

As for the Ora Good Cat GT, the interior is finished in black, with a healthy dose of yellow highlights for added contrast. Yellow highlights can be found on the dashboard, door trim, and outer edges of the seats.

The 10.25-inch infotainment display supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, pumping audio through a six-speaker sound system.

Powertrain

Also improved on the new 2026 GWM Ora Good Cat is the battery. Out goes the pre-facelift car’s LFP and NMC packs, now unified into a sole 57.7-kWh LFP battery.

Said 57.7-kWh battery pack is shared on the regular Good Cat and Good Cat GT, offering a 480 km NEDC range, while the GT offers a 460 km range, also under the NEDC cycle.

In terms of power output, the regular Ora Good Cat does 105 kW (143 PS) and 210 Nm, while the GT does 126 kW (171 PS) and 250 Nm.

The 30% to 80% recharging takes 38 minutes via DC fast charging, while AC charging at 6.6 kW takes roughly 9 hours to fully charge the battery.
