Honda Malaysia has introduced the Honda CR-V Dual-Tone Edition, a 300-unit limited-run edition that’s meant to celebrate the company’s 25-year journey in Malaysia. It honours the strong bond between Honda and customers who placed their trust in Honda over the years.
The Honda CR-V Dual-Tone Edition marks the first time a dual-tone exterior is offered in the CR-V’s 25-year CKD journey in Malaysia, and is exclusive for the E and V variants. As the name suggests, the Dual-Tone Edition adds black finishing on:
- Roof
- Side pillars
- Side mirrors
Additionally, the Dual-Tone Edition is only offered in two colour options, namely Ignite Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl.
In terms of pricing, the Honda CR-V Dual-Tone Edition retains the same price as the regular variants, from RM 168,900 for the E variant and RM 181,900 for the V variant, in conjunction with Honda Malaysia’s 25th Anniversary “Because of You” Campaign.

The CR-V marks a number of firsts for Honda Malaysia
Back in 2003, the Honda CR-V became the first Honda model to be locally-assembled (CKD) at the Melaka plant. 22 years later, Honda Malaysia has sold almost 149,000 units locally, cementing its undisputed position in the market.
Furthermore, each generation of the Honda CR-V has marked a milestone: Back in 2013, the fourth-generation Honda CR-V was launched during Honda Malaysia’s 10th year anniversary milestone.

With the debut of the fifth-generation model in 2017, it marked the first CR-V model in the Southeast Asia region to offer the Honda Sensing ADAS suite in an SUV and to feature a 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine.

Then in 2023, with the introduction of the sixth-generation model, it marked the introduction of the e:HEV RS variant, making it the first CKD mid-sized hybrid SUV in Honda Malaysia’s line-up.
The sixth-generation also proved to be incredibly popular amongst Malaysians, with more than 11,300 units sold, securing a 36% (mid-sized SUV segment) market share in 2024. Moreover, the CR-V was also crowned with the CarPlus.my Editor’s Choice.
