Overwhelming response drove Perodua to increase number of dealers for QV-E, BaaS simplified

Due to overwhelming response from customers, Perodua has increased the number of sales outlets that dealers can place their booking for a Perodua QV-E from 9 to 34 selected dealers across Peninsular Malaysia.

In addition to increasing to number of dealers, Perodua has also opened up manual bookings to ease the booking process. Previously, those who wanted to book the QV-E had to go through the P Circle app.

“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said. The earlier PSSB Balakong outlet has also been corrected to PSSB Semenyih.

“Originally, we requested our customers to make their booking through our super-app, P Circle, but some of our customers asked to include the normal option of booking collection,” Dato’ Sri Zainal added.

Perodua set to simplify BaaS terms and conditions

Perodua has also tweaked its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) terms and conditions of the QV-E – the subscription fee is now capped at RM 275 to ensure that customers are protected from future price hikes.

Furthermore, the QV-E’s battery will be maintained by Perodua as part of the package, even beyond the 9-year period.

But that’s not all – the ownership transfer has been simplified too. For example, should an owner decide to sell their QV-E, Perodua’s Pre-Owned Vehicle Department will de-list the original owner’s name from the subscription programme and register the new owner’s details.

And on top of that, the 108-month payment requirement is also transferrable. Assuming that the first owner has paid 50 months for the plan, the subsequent owner would only need to continue with another 58 months under the same plan. There’s no renewing of plans here, as the new owner would just need to continue where the previous owner left off.

Dato’ Sri Zainal said that the BAAS programme is Perodua’s commitment towards the safety and convenience of Perodua’s customers, while at the same time helping to preserve the environment by taking responsibility of the battery.
