Proton has just introduced the 100-kW variant of the Proton eMas 7 at the Singapore Motorshow. This new variant was created specifically for overseas market.

The company re-entered Singapore in 2025 with the launch of the 160-kW Proton eMas 7. With strong market demand and limited units remaining, the introduction of the 100-kW variant is tailored to local demands.

Last year, Proton exported a total of 659 units of the eMas 7 to various markets, becoming Proton’s third highest export model behind the Saga and X50.

Said 100-kW variant of the eMas 7 was developed for the overseas market, which allows Proton to position the eMas 7 in the more affordable COE Category A, which at the time of writing, goes for SGD 102,009 (~RM 323k). COE Category B, on the other hand, goes for SGD 119,100 (~RM 377k).

In terms of pricing, the regular 160-kW variants of the Proton eMas 7 is priced between SGD 168,988 (~RM 535k) to SGD 172,988 (~RM 548k).

“The introduction of the 100kW model for export markets demonstrates Proton’s readiness and adaptability to local regulatory needs and market demands, and going forwards, it will be rolled out to other markets should there be a need for it. For 2026 we plan to grow export sales by strengthening our presence in current markets, exploring new countries, and introducing the latest Proton ICE and EV model offerings,” said Edmund Lim Meng Thong, Chief Executive Officer of Proton International Corporation.
