Champion Tai tries the Bridgestone Turanza 6: Quieter, more comfortable, improved wet grip

Launched in August 2025, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is the company’s premium flagship tyre for passenger cars.

Priced from RM 320 to RM 2,200, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 covers multiple tyre sizes from 16 inches all the way up to 21 inches. The entry-level size that Bridgestone offers start from 185/55R16 and goes all the way to 285/35R21.

Seen here in this video is Champion Tai in his Mercedes-Benz E300, which are fitted with a staggered setup: 245/40R19 up front and 275/35R19 at the rear.

How much better is the Bridgestone Turanza 6?

Bridgestone says that there’s an 8% reduction in noise levels, 8% increase in ride comfort, and 14% improvement in wet grip.

And Champion Tai feels the differences. He notes that the tyre noises are considerably less than before, even at higher speeds. He also mentioned that the tyre noise doesn’t get worse as speed increases, as the tyre noise remains at a low level.

Even when it’s pouring outside, Champion Tai notices the differences the Turanza 6 offers, as the E300 remained planted without any loss of grip.

These improvements were achieved by what Bridgestone calls its “groundbreaking innovations” in compound formulation, tread pattern design, and tyre shape. Bridgestone parks this under the larger Enlighten technology.

At the same time, these improvements also help to reduce the Turanza 6’s rolling resistance, which is a plus point for those looking to deploy these tyres on their EV.
