TQ Wuling has announced that the company has begun local assembly (CKD) work of the TQ Wuling Bingo in Malaysia. The new affordable EV is locally assembled at Tan Chong Group’s plant in Segambut.
This also marks the first time the Segambut plant is assembling an electric vehicle (EV). The TQ Wuling Bingo EV joins models like the GAC Emkoo and GAC Emzoom to be locally-assembled at the Segambut plant.

In the past, the Segambut plant was responsible for assembling models like the Renault Kangoo, Renault Captur, Nissan Vanette, Mitsubishi ASX, Mitsubishi Outlander, Subaru XV, and Subaru Forester.
“The commencement of local assembly of the TQ WULING Bingo EV represents far more than the launch of a single model. It reflects our long-term investment and confidence in Malaysia as a key market and production base. By combining SGMW’s global EV capabilities with Tan Chong’s decades of strong manufacturing heritage, we are building trust through quality, strengthening the local ecosystem, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth in the years ahead,” said Wan Wei Sun, Head of Business, TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.

The TQ Wuling Bingo EV is priced between RM 67,800 to RM 72,800. In conjunction with the model’s debut in Malaysia, TQ Wuling is offering the Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perks, which includes a RM 5,000 cash rebate, slashing the on-the-road price to RM 62,800 for the Bing Pro and RM 67,800 for the Bingo Max.
The first 500 customers who place an order will enjoy benefits worth up to RM 12,000 under the Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perk offer, comprising the RM 5,000 cash rebate, comprehensive battery and drive motor warranties, low monthly instalments from RM 625, a complimentary 7-kW home EV charger, portable 3-pin EV charger and TQ premium solar tinting package, and 17 comprehensive insurance benefits with special EV coverage
