Toyo Tires has launched the Toyo Proxes Comfort tyres in Malaysia. The new tyre supersedes the long-serving Proxes CF2 in Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia’s line-up.
The new Proxes Comfort is available from 16-inch all the way up to 19-inch sizes, priced from RM 279 to RM 698. More sizes will be added to the line-up to meet the needs of various driver needs.
The new tyre is suitable for passenger cars, while variants with the Extra Load (XL) rating is able to support higher weight requirements of BEVs, HEVs, and PHEVs. According to Toyo, 11 sizes are EV-ready, offering a balance between ride comfort and noise reduction, including EV-optimised noise performance.
What’s new with the Toyo Proxes Comfort?
Developed in Japan, the new Toyo Proxes Comfort is engineered for modern mobility, combining advanced design with proven technologies to deliver a safe, comfortable, and confident driving experience on Malaysia’s diverse roads and in varying conditions.
Separating the Proxes Comfort from its Proxes CF2 predecessor is a combination of advanced tread compound, reinforced internal structure, and optimized tread pattern, when combined, provide enhanced speed stability and superior braking performance in both wet and dry conditions.
The Proxes Comfort features Toyo Tires’ Dynamic Taper Design when helps the grooves to maintain a more consistent contact with road surfaces, thus improving pressure distribution, enhances block stiffness, and supports stable braking and handling in various conditions.
Compared to the Proxes CF2, the Proxes Comfort achieves 8% shorter dry braking distance and 13% shorter wet braking distance.
