Bridgestone Asia Pacific has just introduced the Bridgestone Potenza RE005 in Thailand. This marks the evolution from the older RE004 from 5 years ago.
Here, the Potenza RE005 marks an 8% improvement in dry grip and 10% improvement in wet grip. Both of which result in superior driving performance across a range of conditions. The RE005 features a wide block design that distributes pressure evenly, aiding with grip and handling across both dry and wet driving conditions.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE005 also integrates connecting blocks that are optimized for cornering stability, engineered to navigate sharp turns and accelerate with confidence on corner exit. Its distinctive and instantly recognisable A-shaped groove offers precise and predictable handling, even in the tightest turns. Coupled with a wide inside rib, the tire responds quickly to steering input, providing enhanced responsiveness and confidence during dynamic driving situations.

Bridgestone has also tweaked the rubber compound of the Potenza RE005, improving its grip and responsiveness in both wet and dry conditions. The improved rubber compound also provides improved heat resistance and precise handling characteristics.

Furthermore, the Bridgestone Potenza RE005 is the first Potenza Adrenalin model to feature Bridgestone’s unique Enliten technology, which focuses on weight reduction, long-term sustainability, as well as improving efficiency.

With Enliten technology, the Potenza RE005 boasts lower rolling resistance which helps to improve fuel efficiency for internal combustion engine (ICE) models, as well as improved range for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

“Suitable for a wide range of vehicles such as sports cars, compact cars, sedans, high-performance cars, and EVs, the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE005 is engineered to deliver full driving pleasure. Drivers can feel enhanced confidence in wet conditions — it’s a License To Thrill,” said Seigo Hata, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Bridgestone Asia Pacific (Thailand) Co., Ltd
According to Bridgestone, the Potenza RE005 will be available in selected markets in the Asia Pacific region starting this year, covering 14- to 20-inch for passenger cars. Bridgestone has yet to confirm which sizes will be headed to Malaysia.
