Brace yourselves for higher cost of living, as the government is set to reduce the Budi95 fuel subsidy quota from 300 litres to 200 litres.
According to a report by The Edge, sources indicated to the publication that the announcement of the reduction in fuel subsidy will likely be made as early as this week, with the reduced quota set to take effect from April.

For users that have exceed the 200-litre quota, they would then be subjected to the floating price, which at the time of writing, is priced at RM 3.87/litre. It’s even more expensive for RON97, as the price of this high-octane fuel has touched RM 5.15/litre.

We will monitor this situation because so far, we can still hold off for one or two months, so, I urge everyone, including the civil service, workers and businesses to be wary of this situation,” he told The Star.
