Dunlop has a new exclusive distributor in Malaysia. Toyotsu Binter Malaysia (TBM) made its debut with the brand at the Malaysia Autoshow 2026 in Penang, following its appointment earlier this year — signalling a fresh push for Dunlop in a market it has been present in since the 1960s.
TBM is backed by Toyota Tsusho Corporation and works closely with Dunlop principal Sumitomo Rubber Industries, giving it both regional ASEAN reach and direct access to Dunlop’s latest product pipeline.
On the product front, Dunlop introduced the Blue Response TG at the show — a passenger tyre focused on ride comfort, handling stability, low rolling resistance, and cabin quietness. These are characteristics increasingly relevant as EVs make up a growing share of new registrations in Malaysia, currently running at roughly one in every 14 new vehicles registered.
Dunlop’s EV-ready tyre lineup currently includes the Sport Maxx Lux, Blue Response TG, SP Sport Maxx 060+, and e.Sport Maxx — the latter yet to arrive in Malaysia but expected soon. The e.Sport Maxx features Silent Core Technology for improved cabin quietness, and is engineered to handle the higher kerb weights and instant torque delivery characteristic of EVs.
On the OEM side, Dunlop tyres are already fitted on selected Toyota, Lexus, Isuzu, Mazda, and Leapmotor models in Malaysia, including the fully electric Toyota bZ4X.
TBM currently works with over 190 authorised wholesalers, trade partners, and dealers, primarily across Peninsular Malaysia, with further expansion planned over the next two years. Specialist Dunlop retail concepts are also being explored as part of the longer-term network strategy.
