GWM Malaysia has announced a new milestone for its 2025 Haval H6 HEV, as this C-segment SUV has just entered the ASEAN Records for achieving the longest single-tank distance, as well as most verified owners exceeding the 1,000 km mark.
Keep in mind that this isn’t some extreme fuel-saving exercise; it’s under real-world driving conditions.

In total, 38 Haval H6 HEV owners that participated in this nationwide fuel endurance challenge exceeded the 1,000 km mark, with the longest verified distance touching 1,242 km on a single tank of petrol.
“This isn’t just a technical breakthrough, it’s a real-world endorsement of how far the Haval H6 HEV can take Malaysians,” said Cui Anqi, Managing Director of GWM Malaysia. “It reflects the essence of our new direction: to elevate the everyday drive through proven innovation.”

In conjunction with this double record-breaking moment, GWM Malaysia has also introduced a new tagline for the 2025 Haval H6 HEV – Elevate your Everyday.
2025 Haval H6 HEV overview

As a brief recap, the 2025 Haval H6 HEV was launched in Malaysia back in October 2024, priced from RM 139,800 (on-the-road, without insurance).
Power for the sole variant comes from a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 150 PS and 230 Nm, which is mated to GWM’s two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The latter houses an electric motor that does 177 PS and 300 Nm, enabling a combined system output of 243 PS and 530 Nm.
So, how far can the Haval H6 HEV go on one tank of fuel?
Officially, GWM Malaysia quotes that the Haval H6 HEV returns 5.8L/100 km, but given that participants of said challenge managed to achieve more than 1,000 km with a single tank, it would put GWM’s claim of 5.8L/100 km as rather accurate. The car that achieved the record-setting 1,242 km achieved roughly 4.91L/100 km.
