
The 2025 Proton eMas 7 has officially launched in Trinidad and Tobago, marking the Proton’s first-ever EV second global export market after Nepal earlier this year.
The launch event was held the capital city of Port of Spain, and was attended by Jean-Marc Mouttet, Sector Head of ANSA Motors Limited and Alexander Sabga, General Manager, New Business Development of ANSA MCAL Ltd.

ANSA Motors is Proton’s official distributor in Trinidad and Tobago since 2013.
Proton eMas 7 Trinidad and Tobago launch marks debut of new EV showroom

With the Proton eMas 7 Trinidad and Tobago launch, Proton is accelerating its EV export push, following earlier success in Nepal. To better serve the ever-growing EV customer base, ANSA Motors also introduced a new EV showroom at The City of Grand Bazaar.
To-date, Proton has exported a total of 481 vehicles to Trinidad and Tobago, which has a population of 1.4 million. The breakdown includes 271 units of the Proton X50, 141 units of the Proton X90, and 44 units of the Proton Saga.

For the Trinidad and Tobago market, the Proton eMas 7 is offered in a single Premium variant, which gets an electric motor that serves 160 kW (218 PS) and 320 Nm, powered by a 60.22-kWh Geely Aegis short blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Under the WLTP test cycle, the eMas 7 is able to return up to 410 km.
