2025 BYD Atto 2 EV SUV launched in Malaysia: RM 100k, slots between Dolphin and Atto 3, 410 km NEDC

Less than a week after its sneak preview at the 2025 Premium Auto Car Expo, BYD has just launched the 2025 BYD Atto 2 in Malaysia.

Positioned between the larger BYD Atto 3 and the smaller BYD Dolphin, the sole BYD Atto 2 Premium variant is priced from RM 100k (on-the-road, without insurance) in Malaysia.

The BYD Atto 2 measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall. The BYD Atto 2 has a 2,620 mm long wheelbase. Like its stablemates, the BYD Atto 2 is developed on the e-Platform 3.0 architecture.

Power for the Malaysian-spec BYD Atto 2 comes from a BYD Blade 51.13-kWh LFP battery pack, allowing for a range of up to 410 km under the NEDC test cycle.

The battery pack powers a front-mounted electric motor that outputs 130 kW (177 PS) and 290 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 second. Top speed for the Atto 2 is quoted at 160 km/h.

To recharge the 2025 BYD Atto 2, the charge port is located in front of the driver-side door, which accepts up to 82 kW DC fast charging, which can recharge the Atto 2’s LFP battery from 30% to 80% state-of-charge (SoC) in just 28 minutes. The BYD Atto 2 also has an on-board 7 kW AC charging.

Standard equipment include 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/60R17 tyres, LED headlights and LED tail lights, column-mounted gear selector, 50W Qi wireless charging pad, 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and BYD Digital NFC key card.

Additionally, the BYD Atto 2 also gets synthetic leather upholstery, with ventilated seats up front.

Safety-wise, the 2025 BYD Atto 2 offers L2 ADAS, including Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Intelligent Speed Limit Control (ISLC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA). There’s also six airbags and a 360-degree view monitor.

There are three colours offered on the BYD Atto 2, namely Breeze Green, Harbour Grey, and Ski White.

For the Malaysian market, the 2025 BYD Atto 2 is backed by this warranty package:
