2025 Proton X50: 999 units delivered within 5 days of launch

Following its official launch on 24-July, Proton has delivered a total of 999 units of the all-new 2025 Proton X50 in just five working days. As of end-July 2025, 2,000 units of the all-new 2025 Proton X50 have rolled off the production line.

Zhang Qiang, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Proton Edar said, “The recent launch of the all-new Proton X50 followed a carefully planned sequence where publicity was ramped up in a series of on-ground activations. We received tremendous support from potential car buyers who were impressed by the features offered and as a result, we garnered 5,000 bookings in just 10 days before the price was revealed. Cumulatively, we have now received 8,000 bookings as at the end of July.”

He added, “We also committed to build up our stock levels prior to the launch, which is why we have managed to deliver 999 units to our early bird customers just five working days later. As of 31 July, 2,000 units have now rolled off the production line in Proton Tanjong Malim, and we have planned to keep production levels high to ensure the waiting time for customers is kept to a minimum.”

The all-new 2025 Proton X50 receives revised exterior styling, a redesigned dashboard and centre console, and more importantly – a brand-new 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.

As a brief recap, prices of the all-new 2025 Proton X50 start from RM 89,800 for the Executive variant, while the Premium goes for RM 101,800. The range-topping Flagship is priced from RM 113,300. All prices are on-the-road, without insurance. For the first 10,000 customers, Proton is offering a cash rebate of RM 4,000.
