2025 Proton eMas 7 July sales: Malaysia’s best-selling EV leads for 7th straight month

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (Pro-Net) has announced that the 2025 Proton eMas 7 maintained its position as Malaysia’s number one EV for the seventh consecutive month. The latest Proton eMas 7 July sales figures underline its dominance in the local EV market, with 4,959 units delivered as of 31-July 2025 — comprising 4,689 units in Malaysia and 270 units exported to international markets.

July was also a record month for the C-segment EV, achieving its highest booking figure since launch with 1,365 new orders.

“From day one, our goal has been to offer Malaysians an EV that delivers exceptional comfort, balanced performance, and advanced features at a fair price,” said Mr. Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET. “The sustained demand we are seeing today is the result of that commitment. Breaking down the Proton eMas 7 July sales figure

According to Pro-Net, the entry-level Prime variant accounts for 14% of total deliveries, while the Premium variant makes up 86% of deliveries.

Across both variants, customers cite value-for-money, spaciousness, safety features, ride comfort, handling, and innovate technology as their top reasons for purchasing the eMas 7.

Colour preferences among Proton eMas 7 buyers favoured towards Platinum Silver, with this colour representing 25% of all orders.  Responding to market demand, Proton also introduced a new Obsidian Black exterior colour, as well as limited numbers of Turquoise Green and Quartz Rose paired with the Alabaster White interior colour scheme.

How do eMas 7 drivers charge?

Pro-Net’s market research revealed that most Malaysian drivers commute between 21 km to 40 km daily, which would mean that under average driving conditions, eMas 7 owners typically only need to recharge once a week.

Further simplifying the charging process is the Live Integrated Charging Network, which offers more than 3,400 charging stations across Malaysia, covering more than 90% of the country. This also includes more than 1,100 charging points across 930 high-rise residential buildings nationwide.

Furthermore, the eMas 7 is supported by 29 service centres, 10 body and paint centres, and 35 dealerships across Malaysia.

Trade-in bonus with Pro-Net’s Power Exchange Programme
